The Prime Minister is about to clear his schedule to join the Ubon Ratchathani Candle Festival procession.

The Prime Minister summarizes the overall picture of his visit to the Isan tour for 3 days in 4 provinces, preparing to clear the schedule for participating in the Ubon Ratchathani candle procession. Prime Minister Settha Thavisin gave an interview about his 3-day visit to the northeastern region in Roi Et, Ubon Ratchathani, Sisaket and Surin provinces from June 28-30. He said that Roi Et is considered one of the southern northeastern provinces with high potential. He went to observe the dredging of Huai Kaew Reservoir to increase water storage capacity, which helps during both the dry and rainy seasons, providing benefits to the people by providing water for use in every household. While visiting Ubon Ratchathani Province, the main problems that people heard were flooding, drought, agricultural product prices, drug problems, and road and airport development. All of these are important issues for the government that we must urgently solve. I have ordered relevant agencies to integrate to solve all problems . In Ubon Ratchathani Province, we went to see the candle making process. It is considered beautiful and there are tens of thousands of people who come to see the candle procession every year. It should be promoted as an annual festival or event for the province to attract tourists and generate income for the province and the local people. On July 20-21, 2024, there will be a big event. I will try to clear my schedule to join the event. When asked how farmers were responding to the half-and-half fertilizer project, the Prime Minister said that it needed to be adjusted a little bit because some people wanted it in each area and province, while others had suggestions. He had the Prime Minister's Office compile the suggestions and improvements to the project. Source: Thai News Agency
